Statutory insurances

The statutory insurances for occupational injury or occupational illness are administered by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. If a vehicle is involved in the injury, compensation is paid out under the motor insurance policy.

Collective bargaining insurances

LO-PTK has reached an agreement with SAF/the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise on multiple insurances for employees. These are administered by AFA Insurance. The insurance policies are as follows:

  • Workplace injury, TFA, occupational accidents, occupational illness, and injuries during travel to and from work
  • Occupational sickness insurance, AGS, provides some compensation in addition to sickness benefit for a limited period of time.
  • Career readjustment insurance and severance pay insurance, AGB, provides compensation for termination due to redundancy. The one-off amount is now approximately SEK 26,000.
  • Employment group life, TGL, provides compensation to survivors in case of death
  • For parental leave – waiver of premium insurance, assumes responsibility for the employer's payment of pension premiums to Negotiated Pension SAF-LO for up to 13 months during leave in connection with the birth or adoption of a child. FORA, administers all fees for employees under the Collective Glazing Agreement. It is very important to register employees with FORA so that they will receive their agreed insurances.

White-collar employees have equivalent insurance coverage for employees under the White-Collar Employee Agreement for the Glass Industry as negotiated with Unionen, Ledarna and The Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers. The fees for this coverage are collected by Collectum. They also administer the ITP occupational pensions. Read more about these insurances at www.collectum.se

Readjustment insurance

Blue-collar employees under the Collective Glazing Agreement are insured by TSL, the Employment Security Fund. Some help may be available from that fund for those dismissed by reason of redundancy. Read more at www.tsl.se

White-collar employees and employers have equivalent insurance with TRR. Read more atwww.trr.se

Pension

Negotiated pension SAF-LO, handled by FORA, which provides information accordingly. www.fora.se
The negotiated pension for white-collar employees, ITP, is governed by the white-collar employee agreement for the glass industry as negotiated with Unionen, Ledarna and The Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers. The fees for this coverage are collected by Collectum. All relevant white-collar employees must be notified to Collectum. Read more about these insurances at www.collectum.se
